Pycnogenol Helps Eye Health in Diabetics

In this study of 40 diabetic patients with mild retinal edema, those who took pycnogenol experienced improved vision, increased retinal blood flow and reduced retinal swelling after 2 months, and sustained these improvements at the end of 3 months. The control group had no vision improvements.

Lutein Helps Eye Health

Written by Greg Arnold, DC, CSCS. 37 healthy subjects, who took either 7 mg or 12 mg of lutein per day for 12 weeks, had a  70% or 123% increase in lutein blood levels respectively. They also experienced  statistically significant improvements in contrast sensitivity in the 12 mg lutein group along with better vision and less eye strain. (more…)
