Natural Apple Extract Promotes Hair Growth and Enhances Keratin Expression

Coffee Consumption May Protect Against Coronary Artery Calcification

Habitual coffee drinking of greater than 3 cups per day was associated with lower odds of subclinical coronary atherosclerosis among never smokers in a Brazilian population, suggesting that coffee consumption could exert a potential beneficial effect against coronary calcification and CVD risk, particularly in nonsmokers.  (more…)

Peppermint Essential Oil Shown to Improve Mental Functioning

Compared to the placebo, only the higher dose of 100 microL of peppermint essential oil (Mentha piperita) was effective in significantly improving participants’ cognitive tasks performance and reducing the mental fatigue associated with the extended cognitive testing in this double-blind, placebo-controlled, balanced cross-over study.
