Plasma Lutein and Zeaxanthin Linked to Improved Cognitive Function in Older Adults

Analysis of 4,076 community-dwelling adults found that higher plasma lutein and zeaxanthin were independently associated with better composite scores for global cognition, memory, and executive function; however, only zeaxanthin, was associated with better processing speed.
